Wappa Paddle Board Performance Explained

Not sure what the different performance categories mean?
The explanations below will help you to understand these ratings and put them to good use!

Performance Terms

Tracking
  • The degree that the board naturally travels in a straight line. The higher level of tracking, the straighter a board goes.

Stability
  • The ease of standing on the board. Width adds stability and to a lesser extent so do thickness and length.  Finding your balance and comfort on the board is the key to long term enjoyment.

Speed
  • In general, longer boards are faster than shorter boards. Faster boards tend to be longer and more narrow for less resistance in the water. Less resistance means the board takes less energy to travel at speed.

Maneuverability
  • The maneuverability rating helps in determining how a board will react on the water surface. Generally, shorter boards are more maneuverable than longer ones.
