RECEIVING YOUR PADDLE BOARD

Receiving Your Paddle Board: What to Expect

Having your Wappa Paddle Board delivered is a little different than receiving a shipment from Amazon.
  1. Your board will be delivered by a freight company instead of a courier. Our boxes are 10-13 feet long which exceeds a courier's max. length.
  2. Your board will not be dropped at the door for porch pirates to steal.
  3. The freight company will call you to arrange delivery for the following day.
  4. Someone will have to sign for and receive the shipment.
  5. The freight company may not delivery to your front door. Be prepared to receive your box from the truck and carry it to your house.

INSPECTING FOR DELIVERY DAMAGE

Wappa takes extra precautions to make sure that your paddle board will arrive safe and undamaged. We use superior packaging that is resilient to the scraps and bumps that occur during delivery.
  • We use rigid honeycomb cardboard instead of Styrofoam to protect the board's rails and surfaces.
  • We use 6" wide plywood strips on the all parts of the outer packaging for added protection.
  • We ship all our boards in a Wappa SUP bag for even more protection.

PURCHASER RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to inspect the paddle board at the time of delivery and satisfy themselves with the condition of the paddle board.

If your paddle board is clearly and visually damaged, take images or video, notify the delivery driver and note the damage on the delivery invoice you are required to sign by the freight company.  Then, contact Wappa.

Examples of visual damage of the paddle board at time of delivery include:
  • forklift puncture
  • board split in two
  • crushing

A scuffed or ripped box is NOT damage. Even if the rip in the box is two feet long. However, feel free to take images just in case.

Damage claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery. Claims made outside the 24 hour time period will be rejected.
